Castle V3.1
The new release of Castle offers, in addition to substantial improvements in the calculation algorithms, many upgrades and new features.
Among these, the most relevant concern:
CastleMIND
- More accurate calculation of the locking force: the contribution of the moving cores and the venting channels are considered as well. The automatic calculation of the dynamic safety factor as a function of the second phase speed takes into account the pressure peak that develops at the end of injection crating flashes.
- New experience criteria: first phase speed, gates thickness, intensified pressure are now evaluated to give more useful information for the die and process optimization.
- Custom optimization profiles dedicated to specific categories of parts (Thin parts profile already included, others available on request).
- Enhanced and interactive charts and direct data exportation to CastleBODY module increase software flexibility.
CastleRUN
- Simulation of channels with multiple gatings that can be disabled directly from the interface to quickly simulate uneven filling conditions.
- A new meshing user interface that allows immediate preview and improved capabilities of mesh customization.
- Simplified mesh quality analysis, with visual locators to identify critical mesh areas.
- Improved custom injection curve that allows testing the effect of non-standard injection profiles, eventually considering plunger motion.
CastleBODY
- Model symmetry can now be activated starting from full casting STL to halve calculation times.
- Simplified mesh quality analysis, with visual locators to identify critical mesh areas.
- Trigger probes location within the runner to set the automatic start of the 2nd phase in specific positions according to foundry experience.
- Improved custom Injection Profile, now available for hot chamber too.
- Improved management of vacuum and passive chill vents parameters.
- The software can now move results to a new disk location once the simulation has finished.
- New visualization of synthetic criteria for the smartest evaluation of both filling and for solidification results.
