Discover the revolutionary feature of our CastleMIND optimization module
CastleWIZARD allows, in just 6 clicks, to set up a draft simulation from scratch by automatically suggesting, based on the alloy used, quality specifications and part geometry alone, all those details that are not known when starting the design of a new mold from scratch.
Simply click on the Wizard icon to access a straightforward interface where you can enter the basic information needed to launch the simulation.
The Wizard, based on proprietary algorithms that mimic the modus operandi of an experienced designer, takes care of assuming and suggesting:
- plausible dimensions of casting gatings;
- weights, thickness and surfaces of runners and overflows;
- press locking force and optimal plunger diameter.
Even in the absence of the 3D model of overflows and casting runners, CastleWIZARD allows to immediately launch an already partially optimized CastleMIND simulation.
The algorithms will estimate all the parameters required to make a preliminary assessment of the project’s costs and timelines.
Since the module does not require information that is difficult to find at an early stage of the project, but only needs the CAD model of the part to be produced, it is well suited to the needs of those who need to make quick evaluations to decide a draft configuration of the mold and the press size:
- those who are in charge of making a preliminary analysis to define the configuration and cost of the mold;
- novice designers;
- experienced designers who need a well-balanced reference point to begin the development of the project.
For foundries, it is also particularly useful as an aid in evaluating the production costs of a casting.
Starting from the Wizard’s simulation, we can then leverage all of CastleMIND’s features to further optimize our draft.
Wizard features are available, on upcoming release versions, for both the CastleMIND module and its light version CastleKEY.
